Sindisiwe Shezi

Things are difficult. My husband has arthritis and struggles to do manual work. I am not eligible for a state pension and am also unemployed.

I also have poor health; diabetes and high blood pressure. But I joined the local social movement [that works with Church Land Programme, WDR partner] and it opened our minds so that we now know not to sit down and do nothing.

We don’t want to die in shacks and our children are growing. We don’t want to see them die in shacks.
